Yesterday we went to a shop with stone statues and lots of them were made from limestone. It looks creamy white and sometimes it has moss on it because it has been there for a long time. There are different types of stones like black stone (and they are made from volcanic stone its a cone mountain that breaks lava out and black stones come out and wash into the sea and people go in the sea to collect it to make sculptures) and white stone.
I saw men using a hammer and a pointy metal silver ruler to carve the stone into different shapes to make a statue. They were banging the hammer onto the ruler and the ruler chipped some parts of the stone and I took lots of photos of them.
